Coal Drops Yard commissioned Poet James Massiah to write a piece that would exist as an installation in the space. What came to be was a poem entitled ‘The Wrench’, an offbeat and eccentric ditty exploring human nature and the power of community, using the tool in the title as inspiration for the ensuing concrete poem, having had the opportunity to see the construction of the site taking place in the developing stages.
See ‘The Wrench’ in Unit 5, on the viaduct level of Coal Drops Yard.
