Thirty-eight years ago, Nick Logan almost single-handedly invented style magazines with the launch of THE FACE. Independent, created on a shoestring and standing alone by aspiring to the highest production values, THE FACE transformed coverage of popular culture. It made the careers of writers, photographers, stylists and editors still dominant today, and instantly found a place in the lives of young Britons.
The covers on display in Lewis Cubitt Square span the years 1980-2001. In 2019 THE ARCHIVE presents an exhibition exploring how the magazine re-defined youth culture across the globe for more than twenty years.
