LONDON DESIGN WEEK – WOLF & BADGER WORKSHOPS, TUTORIALS AND INTERACTIVE EVENTS
7 Days of Independent Design with Wolf & Badger will showcase a number of their sustainable British designers and concessions focusing upon homeware and interiors, with added access to some exciting external collaborators.
Through craft workshops and tutorials, expert-lead talks, book launches and creative competitions the schedule will focus on highlighting and celebrating various areas of the design industry in an interactive and engaging multi-channel format.
Highlights will include an in store sumptuous dried flower bouquet workshop with florist Edie Rose, a marvellous marbling workshop with sustainable fashion designer Manimekala and an insight into the work of James Otter, founder of Otter Surfboards, and his newly launched book: ‘Do Make: The power of your own two hands’.
Wolf & Badger have also teamed up with illustrator, designer and maker Jimbob Art to give consumers the chance to design their very own Jimbob plate. Calling on their social followers to get in touch with their creative side, entrants will be asked to draw and submit their own animal-themed creation via Instagram tagging both @wolfandbadger & @jimbobart, using the hashtag #designyourownjimbob.
The winning design will be selected by James Ward, the designer behind Jimbob Art, and announced on Monday 21st September. James will then digitally print the selected design on a set of four side plates (21.3cm diameter) which will be sent directly to the winner to enjoy.
All activity both in-store and digitally will be led by independent ethical creators.
