DENIM MASTERCLASS – HOW TO MAKE A DENIM APRON
Learn industrial sewing machine skills whilst making your own workwear apron in raw selvedge denim. This class is aimed at sewers who would like to gain confidence using an industrial sewing machine or as an introduction for those looking to take the more advanced 5-pocket jean masterclass in the future.
All materials including a choice of fabrics are included in the cost. Maximum of 4 students per workshop for an intimate but relaxed class.
About your teacher:
Christina Figur is a Norwegian fashion designer based in London. For the last 8 years she has followed her passion for sharing authentic Nordic hand crafting and design as a teacher and mentor. Christina’s Norwegian background brings a wonderful authentic aesthetic to her work and her enthusiasm for making and sharing is infectious, bringing real pleasure and fulfilment to her students.
Christina studied Tailoring and Fashion Design in Norway, Italy and England before working as a designer for the likes of Top Shop and Paul Smith. In 2011 Christina set up The Nordic Make Lounge to teach sewing, pattern making and craft skills both independently and collaborating with Blackhorse Lane Ateliers and Stitch Club.
